5th July, 2012 –Comedian Rufus Hound is joining Nintendo in their quest to launch one of Britain’s biggest family gaming tournaments and find Britain’s fastest Mario Kart racers this summer.

Self-confessed Mario Kart fan, Rufus Hound is to star in a series of exclusive videos which will be released throughout the summer from this week to get everyone ready for Mario Kart 7 Britain’s Fastest Family Tournament. Rufus will be providing families with top tips on how to perfect their racing technique to be in with a chance of scooping the grand prizes including money can’t buy Limited Edition Trophies and a family car*. The Mario Kart 7 Britain’s Fastest Family Tournament will run across England, Scotland and Wales with regional heats taking place at 30 HMV stores throughout August. Family ties will be tested to the max in this competition as teams are to be made up exclusively of family members. Young and old family racers alike will join forces to see off the intense competition via a mix of blistering speed and ruthless strategy.
