As revealed by Game Informer, Batman: Arkham Origins will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3, PC, as well as Nintendo’s Wii U. Warner Bros. Games Montreal has taken the flame torch from Rocksteady Studios this time around for the development of Batman: Arkham Origins using a modified version of Unreal Engine with the sole purpose of capturing the look and feel of the series. Arkham Origins will take place before the 2 previous Batman games in a time where Bruce is much younger and where he\’ll meet many of the series protagonists for the first time. That not being all of the reveal, it was also announced that 3DS and PS Vita will be receiving the first handheld version of the Arkham games, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, releasing on the same days as the home console versions. Blackgate will be an exclusive experience that takes place after the events of Arkham Origins and is being developed as a 2.5 Metroid-style exploration action game by Armature Studio. If you don\’t already know, Armature Studio is a company founded by several of the leads from the Metroid Prime trilogy.

Both versions are slated for release on October 25th this year.
