It seems like Japan is going crazy over Pokémon X & Y, as Nintendo has announced that the two games have reached 260,000 pre-orders cumulatively in just two days on sale. Keep in mind that this doesn\’t even include bundles with the Nintendo 3DS. So far, these sales on are track to break the previous record set by Pokémon Black & White, which reached 1.2 million pre-orders before they launched in Japan.

The crazy pre-order numbers are understandable, as Nintendo of Japan is offering free Yveltal and Xerneas figurines along with an art book with every pre-order. These incentives are very rarely seen in Japan, and Japanese consumers are loving these offers.

Pokémon X & Y launches around the world on October 12th.
