It’s not your mommies NES, son!
That’s right folks, there’s a newly redesigned metallic NES in town and its kicking some ass. The company, Analogue Interactive, which has made redesigns of the Neo Geo in walnut and ash, has outdone themselves this time. Taking a single block of 6061 aluminum alloy, the company has housed inside the old 8-bit engine goodness of the 80’s from the same CPU found in the original NES and Famicom, and has turned it into a gaming work of art.
The system, known as the Analogue Nt will retail at a whopping $499 and will come come in four colors: red, blue, black, and pink. It will play all of the original NES cartridges, as well as Famicom, and will accept plug ins from all of the original add on’s like the zapper and power glove. Chris Taber, Analogue’s owner touted that the system,
\”Outputs literally the highest quality analog video signals possible. This translates to perfect compatibility with modern TVs while retaining compatibility with old school CRTs, and high quality monitors.\”
To get the system in one of the four special colors you will need to drop an extra $50 shells to the purchase price. So, what do you think of the newly polished design? Leave a message in the comments.
