If you thought things couldn’t get any more peculiar, Super Mario is now making his debut on the iTunes AppStore. It was a bit of a surprise to read the headline myself. However, it only seems to tie in further to Nintendo’s overall plan of world domination via smartphone. The announcement was made today during Apple’s annual iPhone presser. This time around, Nintendo veteran legend Shigeru Miyamoto took to the stage to talk about how the app will work and what you can expect from the gameplay. The game promises to be able to play with one hand, holding down your finger longer on the screen to make Mario jump higher.

Here are some more of the details surrounding the game via the iTunes AppStore.
