The Nintendo Switch still has many mysterious features, most of them pertaining to online and multiplayer with the console. One of the things the 3DS offers is single card multiplayer for some games, meaning that only 1 copy of the software is needed in local multiplayer. Could this feature be on the Switch as well? According to Silja Gülicher, PR Manager of Nintendo for Germany, it is.

In a recent interview that was been translated, Silja said the following:

It is also interesting that only a single game module is required for local games. Up to eight players can then participate in their consoles without each having to purchase their own version.

This could be a REALLY cool feature if it ends up being true.
