In the past, console manufacturers have sold their home consoles at a loss, at least temporarily. The traditional thinking goes that if more people buy a console at a lower price, the publisher will make money back on the games sold. This information was first revealed last year, but today Nintendo reconfirmed this information to Bloomberg reporter Yuji Nakamura.
