The battle-royale sensation Fortnite has crossed the $1 billion threshold for in-game purchases. Few games ever cross $1 billion in revenue, so it is especially impressive that Epic’s multiplayer title was able to do so simply off in-game purchases without selling a product at retail.

Fortunately, Nintendo is no longer missing out on the Fortnite phenomenon. The game came to Nintendo Switch last month shortly after Nintendo E3 presentation. Even more impressively, the game features native voice chat and is playable across platforms with Xbox One and PC. Have you downloaded the free game yet?
