Nintendo announced last year that a paid online service would launch for the Switch in the future. We haven’t had many updates for Nintendo Switch Online besides a few delays, but Nintendo has now confirmed that it will launch in the second half of September. You can find the full details on the official Nintendo website, but here are some highlights on what the membership includes:
- Access to online in compatible games (Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and more)
- Playable classic NES games with newly added online features
- The ability to save game data online via cloud saves
The online service is launching in just over a month from now, and while Nintendo did reveal that more details would be announced closer to launch, it still seems we don’t know exactly how it will function. That being said it is still something to get excited about. Will you be subscribing to the service or are you fine playing local multiplayer? Discuss down below!
