Atlus smiles upon us once more, as Etrian Odyssey Nexus will receive a western release on February 5, 2019. This game only just released in Japan on August 2, as Etrian Odyssey X, and it sold through 88 percent of its initial shipment in a few days. Clearly, the series has some dedicated fans.
This title combines elements from across the series in an attempt to create the ultimate experience for long-time players. But it sounds like a pretty good reason for new players to hop on board too. I haven’t played any games in this series, but the box art is so attractive that it kind of makes me want to change that.
In any case, I love Atlus for basically fulfilling the role that Squaresoft used to have in the ’90s. They pump out RPGs consistently, and most of them are of a pretty great level of quality. Most recently, I thoroughly enjoyed Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and our Andrew Rockett did too in his review.
Are you hyped for this official announcement on more Etrian Odyssey? Let us hear from you!
