It’s been a long, long time since we heard anything about Shin Megami Tensei V. Up till now, all we’ve known is that the Atlus game is coming to North America for Switch. However, Perfectly Nintendo has translated portions of a magazine interview with the game’s producer, Kazuyuki Yamai, and learned a few tiny new details.
Basically, the development team is working really hard on the game to ensure its level of quality befits a mainline title in the series. Most of the demons and characters are now running on actual Switch hardware. Otherwise, Yamai asks for patience as they wait for the right time to show more to the public.
One more interesting piece of information is that Yamai is open to the idea of remaking Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, though he gives no specifics on what the intended platform would be. I bought Nocturne after the PlayStation 2 era had ended, and I unfortunately never found the time to play it. I think I could be up for a remake of the game on Switch. How about you?
