Streets of Rage 4 is coming to unannounced consoles! The game is being developed by Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games, and Dotemu in association with Sega. All of the art is hand-drawn and being produced by the people who created Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, which is pretty darn pretty.
The two playable characters shown in the announcement trailer are Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding. In the brief moments of gameplay, they can be seen punching and kicking enemies so hard that fire and electricity explode out of their bodies, so that’s awfully impressive.
Unsurprisingly, there is no release window for the game yet; all we know is that it exists and looks easy on the eyes. Stay tuned for updates and a possible Switch announcement. Streets of Rage 4 really seems like a no-brainer for the console, so I’d be way more surprised if it didn’t make its way to Switch.
