Nintendo has been making moves in the filmmaking part of their brand recently, with official plans to create films down the line. A video game movie set to hit theaters soon, though, is Wreck-it-Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet. Mario was noticeably absent from the first installment, but that may change in the sequel.
Attractions Magazine was at the Wreck-it-Ralph playground at Epcot, where they noticed a familiar tune in the background. One you wouldn’t expect from a Wreck-it-Ralph exhibit, though. An orchestral rendition of the Super Mario Kart theme can be heard. That’s right: Super Mario Kart music playing over a Wreck-it-Ralph attraction.
We noticed a new orchestration of the original Super Mario Kart music playing in the Wreck It Ralph 2 playground at Epcot. Could we see this used in the new @wreckitralph movie later this year? pic.twitter.com/Q6H1Ek681u

As Attractions Magazine points out, this may lead to the series appearing in the Wreck-it-Ralph sequel. Bowser was in the first, so why not make way for the plumber and his kart-racing friends?
