The Switch game lineup grows more robust with every passing day: BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch, according to Arc System Works in an announcement at Tokyo Game Show. No additional details are yet available, but it will inevitably be an enhanced port of BlazBlue: Central Fiction, first released for consoles in 2016 for PlayStation 3 and 4, and then for PC in 2017.

In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the original version of Central Fiction, which features the most awesome and rockin’ song I’ve heard in a trailer since Babymetal showed up in the Ninjala trailer:
BlazBlue action is already available on the Switch in the form of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, a crossover game featuring characters from BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY. Out of all those names, I can only honestly say that I’ve experienced Persona 4. In fact, I own Arena and its sequel, and I’m incredibly unskilled at both of them. If you’re ever feeling down about how bad you are at fighting games, just hunt me down and challenge me. I’ll brighten your day in 99 seconds or less.
All of that being said, I can still appreciate gorgeous visuals when I see them, and Arc System Works brings the goods on that front every time. I love 2D game art in general, but Arc delivers a hand-drawn feast with its titles. With Persona, they even brought a lot of fidelity to the character art, so that they still looked like their original Atlus representations while they whaled on each other. That’s not an easy thing to do.
Are you hyped for more BlazBlue and Arc System Works on Switch? Are you excited that Switch is getting a lot of love for just about every genre of game? Sound off in the comments!
