    We all get lonely sometimes. And as human beings, we share the desire to be loved. Not all of us have a wonderful pet, partner, or family member to greet and hug us when we come home from a long day of work. Luckily, enormous Pikachu and Eevee plushies are here to fill the void of emptiness that comes with the reality of living alone.

    These two will never hurt you

    Hug me, I’m scared

    Japanese toymaker Takara Tomy has unveiled its Big and Soft Hugging Pikachu/Eevee Plushies, and they are a great pair of lovable inanimate objects. While Eevee is a little smaller than Pikachu, they both contain the same material. What makes these two very special is they can RECIPROCATE HUGS. Since they each weigh 2.1 pounds and are filled with soft beads, their heads will sink into their tummies when you rest your head against them, simulating the experience of being hugged/feeling love.

    Pikachu is watching you, always

    These soft pillows are quite versatile, as well. Their heads are filled with cotton, meaning they feel more springy than their bellies. And their backs are a cotton/bead mixture, giving them a midway feeling between the head and stomach. You’ll never want to let the two Pokemon go.

    Science = Love

    Pikachu and Eevee are priced at 12,800 yen (US$115) individually, but you can order both of them as a 20,000-yen (US $177) bundle. Delivery is scheduled for late February of next year.

    Personally, I think both Pikachu and Eevee are the two most adorable Pokemon ever conceived. Therefore, I am quite excited for these huggable pillows, though the price is a little rich for my blood. Consequently, I think I’ll settle for the daily unconditional love I receive from my partner.
