After a reveal out of scenic nowhere earlier this year that Spintires: MudRunner would be coming to the Nintendo Switch Switch, the developers have now announced that off-road driving simulator will be launching on the system on Nov. 27.
The arrival of the Switch version of Spintires: MudRunner will be about a month after the other platforms get the new American Wilds DLC expansion (that launch will take place on Oct. 23). This expansion pack includes 30 licensed off-road vehicles (two have been revealed so far – the Hummer H1 and Chevrolet K5 Blazer), 60 add-on tools for the vehicles, 10 sandbox maps and 11 challenge maps. The Nintendo Switch version will include all of the content from American Wilds pre-installed, in addition to all of the existing content from the base game. Players on other platforms will need to pay for the expansion, although a price has not yet been announced.
While a release date of the Switch edition has now been formally announced, there still has yet to be a single screenshot or gameplay clip that has surfaced. Nov. 27 isn’t that far off from now, so hopefully, the developers will fully reveal the Switch version prior to that. MudRunner is an ambitious game to bring to the hybrid system due to its visual fidelity and physics system, so here’s hoping this port turns out well.
