Surprise Zelda game comes to Switch Online

    0

Prior to the launch of Switch Online, Nintendo had detailed some of the classic NES games coming to the platform. These titles can be found in the Nintendo Entertainment System area once you are subscribed to the service. However, we were previously led to believe that there were only three titles being added for the month of October. Those three being Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf, and Super Dodge Ball. There is now a fourth promised game, coming in the form of The Legend of Zelda SP. The game is also known as The Legend of Zelda: Living the life of luxury!

    Your SP is showing

You might be wondering, “What’s the difference between the SP and standard version of the game?” When starting the game for The Legend of Zelda SP, according to the description, you’ll already have a sack full-o-rupees, White Sword, the Magical Shield, Power Bracelet, and Blue Ring. Although this isn’t exactly game-changing, it does offer access to anyone that’s looking to pick up the classic title without many of the frustrations and challenges that are visible in the original version of the game.

    Need moar SP

The Legend of Zelda might not be the only game getting the SP treatment. There is a peculiar list of titles floating around that indicates more releases are on the horizon. This title list includes games like Double Dragon SP, Gradius SP, Dr. Mario SP, and Metroid SP. I guess we still might have to wait for a modified version of Ghosts’N Goblins. Sigh.

There are still a number of games coming to the NES dashboard via Switch Online. The month of December will bring titles like Wario’s Woods, Ninja Gaiden, and Adventures of Lolo. If things continue to unfold for the online platform, there could be more surprises in store through the end of the year. This is especially valuable to consumers considering the slim offerings that the online platform currently holds.

Editor’s Note: If the title doesn’t show up in your dashboard after applying the update, you may need to restart your system. After doing so, all of the new titles, including The Legend of Zelda SP, will appear in the tiles for selection.
