There are a ton of third-party controllers out there for the Nintendo Switch which seek to offer a cheaper alternative to that of the official Pro Controller (and by extension, the Joy-Con). The main issue with the vast majority of these third-party controllers is that they typically lack a lot of the features of the first-party offerings. But, sometimes there are some surprises. That’s the case with the Wireless Controller from Leandro, which actually happens to support NFC. This means it’s compatible with all amiibo figures.
I personally have yet to come across another third-party Switch controller that sports an NFC reader. The Leandro Switch controller also has a TURBO mode, on top of being fully wireless and sporting a USB Type-C charging port. It does appear to lack gyro and rumble functionality, but considering that it’s only going for $35.99 on Amazon, that seems fair enough.
