Pokemon GO players will challenge others using a Battle Code. They’ll pick three pocket monsters to use in-battle, choosing from one of the three in-game leagues: Great League, Ultra League, and Master League.
Pokemon can utilize their Fast Attack and Charged Attack, but it’s not the typical turn-based gameplay seen in other games. The battles in Pokemon GO are “fast-paced and in real time,” for better or worse.
Though random trainer battles will require players to be side-by-side, Niantic has provided a more long-distance option. Ultra Friends and Best Friends can battle from all over the world.
Trainer battles begin in Pokemon GO starting sometime this month. Will you be taking part in the long-awaited feature’s debut? Be sure to comment below and let us know.
