Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is known to many as one of the greatest fighting games of all time. But one Twitter user, hw_taki, has turned this colorful clash of gaming avatars into a rhythmic romp akin to games like Rock Band of old. Apparently, all it takes is metallic Bowser and Samus to string together some fight-move sound effects to coincide with the stage music. Oh, and it probably takes several hours of your life coordinating and practicing this routine with a close friend. But what happens in the end is a couple of friends making music together for the masses on Twitter. Check out the video below to see what I’m talking about.

Alright, do you think you have what it takes to match that? I know I sure don’t have the patience for it. But if you do find that strange sense of dedication to inject a musical twist with your favorite fighter, be sure to suit up in metal for the biggest punch. However, if you simply just enjoyed the show, maybe hw_taki will return in the future with another odd rhythmic performance with new characters and music.
Do you have the focus to perform something like this? What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done in a game while ignoring the game’s entire premise? We’d be interested to hear any unique stories in the comments below.
Accountant by day, video games enthusiast by night. Somewhere in between all of that, I’m a husband, dad, and generally a giant man-child, too. If a game is all about action, there’s a safe bet I’m playing it. I started laying waste to virtual worlds as a youngin’ on the ol’ Atari and haven’t stopped since.
