Last week, we brought you a piece about how an 87-year-old grandma named Audrey played Animal Crossing: New Leaf religiously. Over the last four years, the hardcore grandma had logged more than 3,500 hours in the game. That’s over 2 hours every single day.
Thanks to a video posted by her grandson on Youtube, we now have footage of what Audrey’s town looks like. By most measures, the town looks relatively normal, with a few notable exceptions. There are flowers… everywhere! It seems that Audrey never grows tired of seeing her town covered in them. The town features a wealth of improvements and Audrey’s house is gigantic. It is filled to the brim with trophies from her victories in the town’s fishing competitions.
The most startling statistic might be the number of bells in Audrey’s bank account, however. With daily deposits of more than 100,000 bells, the grandma has amassed a wealth of over 65 million bells (with more money stockpiled in her house). If only there were a bell to USD conversion calculator!
I put my share of time into Animal Crossing: New Leaf but tapered off from playing the game after a month or two. Most people quit well short of Audrey’s playtime.
The newest Animal Crossing game is scheduled to launch this year. Will you be picking the title up?
Eli buys virtually every Nintendo title that comes out but has expanded his collection to include amiibo. He hasn’t taken them out of their boxes, though, so he might be a bit insane. When not playing video games, Eli likes writing about politics and games. He also runs a decent amount. Outside.
