You may have forgotten that the Wii Shop Channel is running on its last legs. Since today is January 15, that means there are exactly two more weeks before the digital storefront completely closes down on the 31st.

Nintendo announced the closure of the Wii Shop Channel back in September 2017. In March of 2018, the ability to add currency to accounts was disabled. Since then, the store has pretty much just been acting as a fading repository for existing customers. If there’s any content that you’ve previously purchased but don’t have currently installed on your Wii (or Wii U), now would be the time to download them one last time before the WSC goes offline.
