Chinese manufacturer¬†Shenzhen Jieruihong Electronics Co., Ltd is developing a pair of Joy-Con that includes a proper D-Pad on the left unit. The original left Joy-Con has four individual buttons, similar to that of the Dualshock 4. Some Switch owners aren’t fond of this as it impedes their ability to have an authentic experience when playing retro/2D indie titles. Thus, if you’re searching for a controller with a real D-Pad, then SJE’s upcoming pair might be up your alley.

No technical details or release date has been revealed yet, so it’s likely that these are still a few months out. There are already third-party controller options for the Switch that feature proper D-Pads, but if you’re specifically looking for the Joy-Con, then keep these in mind.
