No More Heroes already has a game on the Switch, but it is a spin-off from the series. While Travis Strikes Again is an exclusive on the console, it launched as a $29.99 eShop title (it’s $39.99 if you buy its physical version). The game is not as long as mainline entries but shared a lot of the elements that fans love about the series.
In a recent interview, Suda51 revealed that he seriously wants to make No More Heroes 3. In fact, he already has a rough outline of the game’s story. However, in order to make No More Heroes 3, Suda51 said it is important that Travis Strikes Again sells well. He said the future of the franchise depends a lot on the fanbase.
There is a definite link between the success of this game and the production of a third game in the series – that’s what I believe. On that front I am relying on support from fans both home and abroad. I already have a plan for No More Heroes 3, as well as a basic plot, so I definitely want to make that game a reality.
Are you a fan of the No More Heroes franchise and pick up the new spin-off? If not, what kept you away? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
