Aaand the game of yo-yo continues. We reported a while back on foreign retail listings that claimed a remaster of Assassin’s Creed III would be coming to Nintendo Switch. However, when Ubisoft eventually did announce Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered, they announced the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC only. That seemed to close the door on the game coming to Switch, except now Club Ubisoft is listing the game as being for Nintendo Switch as well:
Club Ubisoft lists Assassins Creed III (3) Remastered for Nintendo Switch on their website alongside PS4, Xbox One and PC and a release date of 29 March 2019.

Either this is yet another error, or there is a grander scheme for why the Switch version has not been announced yet. Part of the reason could be that Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered will already be free for those who bought the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, a game not available on Switch. It could be that Ubisoft is planning something special to include in the Switch version to make up for that, and a new Nintendo Direct could be a good time to announce it.
