Nintendo Direct: Rune Factory 4 Special, 5 announced

RPGs pair up so well with the Nintendo Switch. That’s why it should as a surprise to no one to see quality games from the genre get the port treatment. In this Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Rune Factory 4 Special is coming to Switch later this year.

As a mishmash of combat, dating sim, and farming, this series really stands out. The fourth game is widely considered the best in the franchise for nailing that formula. Rune Factory 4 originally released on 3DS back in 2013. Switch users will be able to experience the original in an upgraded package.

This remaster will have you raising monsters, cultivating crops, and go on adventures with townsfolk. You can even fall in love and marry your party members. Fans of Stardew Valley should check this one out.

We also got confirmation that Rune Factory 5 is in development! More information is expected sometime in the future.
