During the Nintendo Direct that took place earlier today, Nintendo announced that Super Mario Maker 2 would be launching on Switch. The game is a sequel to the Wii U exclusive Super Mario Maker and is scheduled to launch June 2019. The game will have new features, but Nintendo didn’t specify what they were specifically. The company simply said to “stay tuned.” Presumably, the game will cost $59.99 when it launches. The game will have 8-Bit, 16-Bit, and modern visual styles.
The original Super Mario Maker launched in 2015 and currently holds an 88 on Metacritic. We will keep you updated as new information is revealed on Super Mario Maker 2.
