Nintendo has scheduled some routine maintenance for its various network services. This encompasses both Nintendo Network for 3DS and Wii U, and also Nintendo Switch Online. This maintenance is going to render network services unavailable while the work is being carried out. Nintendo has not specified exactly which services, but you may have some trouble getting connected to any online multiplayer matches and/or accessing the Nintendo eShop.

Here’s the maintenance schedule:

  • FEBRUARY 17, 2019 — Switch, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS
4:50 PM to 7:50 PM (Pacific)
7:50 PM to 10:50 PM (Eastern)

This maintenance period won’t stick around for too long, but considering that it’s happening on a Sunday when people are home, it is likely to cause some inconvenience. So, just be prepared for some network downtime.
