Arcade Archives releases Elevator Action for Nintendo Switch tomorrow

Hamster continues their run of retro releases with Elevator Action. It will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop on Thursday (tomorrow).

This 1983 platform shooter by Taito is the latest classic title under Arcade Archives. You play as a spy, riding elevators, grabbing documents, and shooting anyone who gets in your way. Find the secret documents behind red doors, then escape to the bottom.

While fun to play, the followup Elevator Action Returns outshines it. There’s more action, better graphics, and amazingly cheesy voice lines. Still, the original title is worth going through for some simple run and gunning. Here’s hoping the sequel also gets a release in the future.

Elevator Action will release for Nintendo Switch tomorrow for $7.99.
