Interested in the Nintendo Labo VR kit, but not sure what to make of it? Thanks to Best Buy, residents of the United States can try it out free of charge at participating locations.
The electronics chain is holding a hands-on event at select locations on Sunday, April 14, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Prospective players can check out the Labo VR kit and all it has to offer, from its VR Plaza to the new Toy-Con projects such as the Toy-Con Elephant and Toy-Con Camera. Here’s the list of participating locations.
Best Buy Canada is holding a similar event throughout its locations, however, it allows a few days to get in the action, as opposed to one Saturday afternoon. Click here for those details.
The new VR element is a huge, unexpected undertaking for Nintendo and its relatively new endeavor, Labo. While I don’t see it creating a ton of buzz yet, there are millions of Switch owners who’ve put hundreds, some even thousands, into games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. These games getting VR support just might spur consumers to make the jump into virtual reality.
