Wolfenstein: Youngblood for Switch will have download code and no game card physical box

File this under “Strange and Disappointing”: Retailer listings for Wolfenstein: Youngblood for Switch across the internet are claiming the physical game box contains a digital download code and no cartridge. Some listings also remind you that an internet connection will be required to download and play the game. This disclaimer is currently appearing with both the standard and deluxe editions of the game.

Of course, it’s possible someone at the publisher just made a big mistake when the marketing materials for Wolfenstein: Youngblood for Nintendo Switch were being sent out. After all, Bethesda’s FAQs page for the game shares an abundance of game details but makes no mention of this. Still, if I were a Wolfenstein fan that likes to own everything physically, I’d be worried right now.
