Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is, perhaps, everything any Smash fan has ever dreamed of. It’s literally got it all! Or does it? If one Smash Ultimate commercial is to be believed, a Stage Builder mode could be on its way to the popular Nintendo brawler. The commercial can be seen below. However, we have the screen shot above that displays the smoking gun. In the bottom right corner of the Smash menu on the TV is where you will be able to make out the words “Stage Builder.”
What could that even mean? Soon we’ll be able to go full-on Mario Maker with our Smash arenas? The possibilities seem rife with potential. Smash is known for interactive environments with moving parts that may or may not have an effect on the flow of the match. Imagine possibly being able to plot out your own stage’s evolution! Of course, this is mere speculation on my part. But the possibilities are just too great to not ponder. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing about this fun addition sooner than later — like, say, at an upcoming Nintendo Direct.
What do you think of the possible addition of a Stage Builder mode within Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Would you build something wild, or pass and stick to pummeling your friends? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
Accountant by day, video games enthusiast by night. Somewhere in between all of that, I’m a husband, dad, and generally a giant man-child, too. If a game is all about action, there’s a safe bet I’m playing it. I started laying waste to virtual worlds as a youngin’ on the ol’ Atari and haven’t stopped since.
