Wake up for today’s contest and you could win a Switch copy of Back to Bed!
You might have heard that I like weird games. There are thousands of games out there that are more or less normal, and that’s cool. I just have very little interest in them. I’d much rather play something the skeeves me out, or makes me go, “WTF?” than something “normal.” Granted, normal is quite subjective, but that said, I know weird when I see it. And I definitely see it here.
I’ve got some keys for Back to Bed on Switch. Come win one and get weird with me!
Back to Bed
Here’s the dealio: Bob is bored to death at work. So bored, he can’t stay awake. He falls asleep, and sleepwalks through his day like a responsible zombie in need of a paycheck. Problem is, in his dreamlike state the waking world mixes with the sleepytime realm, and dangers from both threaten him at every turn. This is where his creepy little subconscious, Subob, comes into play.
As Subob, you need to guide Bob from his desk to his bed while avoiding obstacles from both realms. You’ll walk on walls and move apples ‘n shit and make sure Bob avoids those spooky dreamdog things that will probably eat you. Also there’s a really weird voice effect thing that tells you what to do, and I’m really not sure what to think about the whole thing. All I can really do is marvel at how weird it is. I’m happy with that.
Here are some game features for you to read!
- Unique surreal and artistic game universe: A dream universe that mixes elements from the real world and the dream world to create something unique.
- Full 3D isometric puzzle levels: Navigate detailed 3D levels and use elements of the level to create a safe path and avoid dangers.
- Two characters as one: Play as the embodied subconscious trying to save its own sleeping body by getting it to the safety of the bed.
- Picturesque visual style: Discover the feeling of playing in a painting inspired by surreal art and impossible shapes.
I’m so glad this exists.

While you’re waiting, comment below telling us you subconscious’ name and what it does to help you out. Mine’s called Sew, and spends about 99% of its time redirecting me away from potato chips. It knows that once I pop, I just can’t stop. I’ll eat an entire bag in one sitting if I’m not careful. Sew knows this. It looks out for me.
We have five Switch keys to give away — winner chooses the region. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday, April 17.
