Virtua Racing has now officially joined the SEGA AGES retro collection on the Switch eShop—in Japan. Now that the game has finally launched, SEGA has uploaded the first gameplay trailer which shows off over two solid minutes of footage.

Prior to this, there has only been screenshots. Now seeing the game in action, it’s clear that it runs at 1080p/60FPS (though this shouldn’t be too surprising given that it’s several years old at this point). The visual style is pretty much identical to that of the arcade version; so while not as refined as the PS2 remake, Virtua Racing on Switch retains a unique look due to its low-poly assets still managing to look good in HD.

There’s still no word on when Virtua Racing will hit the North American and European eShops, but you can go ahead and buy the game now if you have a Japanese Nintendo Account.
