Super Mario Maker has proven that gamers like to create almost as much as they like to play. And you can’t get much more popular than Mario. However, Nintendo is home to many other beloved franchises.
Now with the sequel closing in on us, we’re faced with a very important question. Which other Nintendo franchises need the Super Mario Maker treatment?
Creating Mario levels is good starting ground, but it’s hard not to immediately think about The Legend of Zelda and its dungeons as the next step. Imagine loading up thousands, nay, MILLIONS of Zelda dungeons each with their own layout, items, bosses, and secrets. Or how about Metroid with its classic backtracking system in place? Or even Mario Kart with a track editor? If Excitebike could do it, then so can Nintendo’s most popular racing franchise (sorry, F-Zero).
So which Nintendo franchise would you choose? Let us know your picks in the comments below.
