Do you know what humanity does not appreciate anymore? Watches. Now that everyone and their momma have a smartphone, the watch has become a relic of the past. Sort of like the ancient Game Boy Color, too. If only they could combine to form some sort of nostalgic powerhouse. Enter: The Game Boy Color Watch.
It tells time…and nothing else
The Game Boy Color Watch will soon be available through the website Merchoid. It comes with the following features:
- Wristwatch with a teal Game Boy Color design
- Ability to set the time, date, and alarm using the GBC’s buttons, so it’s just like playing a video game on your arm
- Strap made of plastic
- Licensed by Nintendo. No lawsuits to worry about
The Game Boy Color Watch is expected to launch next month. According to Merchoid’s product page, this item is super limited, with less than six left to pre-order. It’ll set back customers $25.99. Not bad, plus the watch has free shipping to the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and the EU.
Are any retro Enthusiasts keen on snagging one of these beauties? Do you wish the watch actually doubled as a working Game Boy Color? Let us know your responses to these burning questions below.
