Nintendo GameCube shelf

The classic mini editions of the NES and SNES were received far and wide with open arms. Many of us hoped the trend would continue with a mini Nintendo 64 and possibly even a mini GameCube. Last year, however, the former Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aimé smothered the fires of that dream with a wet blanket. Now, one YouTuber is showing us what a GameCube mini could have been like. Spoilers, it is everything you ever wanted. Check out the video below.

Incredibly, YouTuber Madmorda used an old Nintendo GameCube gummy candy case for the exterior. The mini console contains fully functioning controller ports and USB ports. The mini GameCube also features a functioning orange power light and power button!

After that display, I can say with a surety that I desperately need one in my life now. It’s easy to see how Nintendo would make a small fortune off of these. So, it’s anyone’s guess as to why they aren’t pursuing it (at least at the moment). But I’d venture to say it has something to do with focusing on that other hybrid console they’re pushing right now.

What do you think of the mini GameCube Classic? If Nintendo ever made these, would you purchase one? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
