Awesome! Another game launching on my birthday: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in the West on August 20. The game was first confirmed for a summer release by Konami back in March, and now we have the precise day. When the game launches, the physical release will also include three new Yu-Gi-Oh! cards: Progleo, Micro Coder, and Cynet Codec.
Konami reminds us of what the game and the franchise as a whole has to offer when it launches on Switch:
With more than 9,000 cards, the most in any Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG video game, Duelists will build and customise competitive decks to challenge other players with local wireless and online play through Nintendo Switch Online.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! series is based on the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! (by Kazuki Takahashi), which was serialised in SHUEISHA Inc.’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1996 and is now on the sixth iteration of the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” animated series (currently airing on TV Tokyo-affiliated channels). KONAMI released the first console game in 1998, and the series, including the trading card game, is still enjoyed by countless customers worldwide. KONAMI continues to develop and distribute a wide range of Yu-Gi-Oh! content to deliver the fun and excitement of the series to customers around the globe.
The game is set to cost €39.99, but a USD price has not yet been announced. Will you be buying Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution? Let us know! I’m considering it.
[Update: The game is available for preorder on Amazon for $39.99.]
