Dragon Quest Builders answered the question everyone had on their minds: When is Square Enix going to make their own Minecraft? Now, we can get that question answered even harder when Dragon Quest Builders 2 comes to Switch in both North America and Europe on July 12, 2019. The game is available for physical and digital preorder now and is retailing for $59.99.
It will also include both free and paid DLC upon release. The free DLC is “Knickknack Pack,” which includes three recipes to “celebrate every New Year with some Hotto flair.” There are three paid packs of DLC: Hotto Stuff Pack at $5.99, Aquarium Pack at $9.99, and Modernist Pack at $9.99. However, a Season Pass containing all three can be bought for the reduced price of $20.99. Collectively, they provide the player with a multitude of new recipes and, in the case of Aquarium Pack, a new fishing island to explore.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 comes from Square Enix Business Division 5. The original game in the series actually released to a pretty positive reception, being much more than a Japanese Minecraft. So builder fans have something to look forward to for sure here.
Will you be buying Dragon Quest Builders 2? Or are you biding your time for something big and new from Square Enix at E3?
