While FIFA has released on Switch the last two years, you never can be sure that an EA game will make its return to a Nintendo platform. Fortunately, a new Amazon listing indicates that the next iteration in the franchise, FIFA 20, will probably launch on Nintendo Switch alongside the Xbox One and PS4 versions.

FIFA has a spotty history on Nintendo consoles. The game saw consistent release on the original Wii. In fact, FIFA 15 launched on the Wii, two years after the Wii U launched. FIFA 15 never even launched on Wii U.

FIFA 16 and FIFA 17 skipped Nintendo platforms. Finally, FIFA 18 made a triumphant return to the Nintendo Switch. FIFA 20 will be the third consecutive release for the console.

However, the release of the franchise does not come without controversy on the Switch. The Switch releases never have all the same features as the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Even worse, EA has a habit of advertising features that don’t actually exist in the Switch Version. On two occasions, the company advertised DLC for FIFA 19 on the Switch that never materialized. Hopefully, FIFA 20 will be a different story.

Will you be picking up the new FIFA title when it launches later this year? Let us know in the comments below!
