505 Games announces Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night DLC

    2

It’s been a long time coming for the Kickstarter-funded Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, as it launches this summer after multiple year-long delays. With pre-orders now live on all platforms, 505 Games shared some important details for those planning to pick up the Castlevania-inspired title.

Iga’s Back Pack is a piece of DLC which lets the player take on Koji Igarashi, the creator of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Available on launch day, the content pack will cost $9.99 and is to be available to backers and non-backers alike.

The various Kickstarter-backed stretch goals are to be released post-launch, though no timetable was given. These features include various new modes, such as a Speedrun Mode, and characters that have yet to be announced. Here’s the full rundown, per the official Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter page:

    • Two additional playable characters
    • Local and online multiplayer for certain co-op and vs. modes
    • Roguelike mode
    • Chaos mode
    • Classic mode
    • Boss Revenge mode

Some might say it’s been a windy road for 505 Games thus far. That said, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night looks like a solid package ahead of its launch next month. The RPG-platformer will release at a base price of $39.99 across all platforms. PS4, Xbox One, and PC users, however, get the game a week earlier than Switch players, on June 18.
