Day 2 of E3 2019 isn’t winding down after Ubisoft’s showing just yet! Today’s conferences looks to wrap up with a bang from none other than Square Enix, with their LIVE E3 2019 presentation set for tonight at 6PM PT/9PM ET.

Avengers, assemble!

Recently, Marvel teased that the upcoming Avengers project will finally be premiering during the Japanese publisher’s presentation tonight. While regrettable that it will be skipping the Switch, the joint venture years in the making—developed by Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics—has been a salivating prospect since the first tease back in January 2017.

Of course, you can’t spell “Square Enix” without Final Fantasy… give or take a few letters. A new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake popped up last night. Though short, it showed Cloud leading AVALANCHE in taking out Shinra reactors and a confirmed March 3, 2020 release date. We can expect some more Final Fantasy goodness tonight; if we are lucky, perhaps more of the series’ backlog will be ported to Switch.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is also getting new downloadable content in the form of Re:Mind this winter. With a first look trailer at the upcoming expansion, Square is likely to go a bit more in-depth as to the extra campaign’s contents. Here’s to hoping the Kingdom Hearts backlog might also make its Switch debut!

Bravely Default 3

Finally, we might receive some updates on the Octopath Traveler front. It might be too early to expect this, but Square Enix producer Tomoya Asano did speak of internal discussions over a possible sequel. Failing that, a Western release for the mobile game prequel Champions of the Continent might be a safer bet.

Then again, there is also last year’s Bravely Default tease… Might we see the series come to Switch as well, be it ports of the original duology or a Bravely Default 3? We might finally know for sure tonight!

What kind of announcements do you hope to see during Square Enix LIVE E3 2019 tonight (that’s a mouthful)? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
