playset

Bowser (not that one) is a giant Koopa King meant to be feared. When is there ever a time he is not frightening? Simple: when he’s tiny! As if answering my point: Nintendo and Jakks Pacific recently joined forces to create the wonderful Bowser’s Castle playset. Now anyone can play with Bowser without worrying about being flame-broiled.

A playset to rival Mighty Max

Here is the official description for Bowser’s Castle straight from its product page:

Bring the world of Nintendo to life! This Nintendo Bowser Castle Playset features some of your favorite characters in a fun, diorama playset. Play and pose your favorite 2 1/2-inch scale mini-figures and display the playset for hours of endless fun! Measures about 14 1/2-inches wide x 12 1/2-inches tall. Requires 2x “AAA” batteries, not included. Ages 3 and up.

This is really cool. Not only is the set grand and detailed but it also comes with a free Bowser figure!

In addition, gamers over the age of three can utilize the set’s lift, trap doors, and fireballs. Iconic sounds and music from the Super Mario Bros. series can also be played by pushing one of the castle’s spires. Batteries are not included, though, so make sure you have some on hand before buying. Otherwise, you are going to rush to the store to procure some before they close, all while the Hurry Up! variant of the Super Mario Bros. Overworld Theme plays endlessly in your mind.

The Bowser’s Castle playset is available for pre-order here. It will run you about $44.99. Purchasers can expect the giant toy to start shipping sometime this month.
