Pokemon Sword and Shield dynamax Larvitar

Nintendo dropped a ton of new information about Pokémon Sword and Shield in a new trailer released on July 8. This trailer revealed new gym leaders, new Pokémon, and Gigantamaxing, a step above the previously-revealed Dynamaxing. However, Nintendo also shared some news about the upcoming games on both the Pokémon and Nintendo Twitter accounts.

One big reveal is that special offers are available for both physical and digital versions of Sword and Shield. This means that players can get an in-game boost for themselves just based on how they purchase the game.

The first bonus comes from purchasing the Pokémon Sword and Shield Double Pack. The Double Pack includes both versions of the game, as well as a gold-colored steelbook that holds the cartridges. In addition, players who buy the Sword and Shield Double Pack will receive a new item known as Dynamax Crystals.

Players can face off against a Dynamax Jangmo-o and Larvitar by using a Dynamax Crystal in the Wild Area. This allows players to encounter these Pokémon earlier in the game than would be possible otherwise.

These Pokémon are technically version exclusives. Under normal circumstances, Jangmo-o is exclusive to Pokémon Sword and Larvitar is exclusive to Pokémon Shield. However, players can encounter both Pokémon in both versions by using Dynamax Crystals. Nintendo also revealed that Deino is exclusive to Pokémon Sword, while Goomy is exclusive to Pokémon Shield.

Pokémon Sword and Shield special offers: digital download

Players can also receive an in-game bonus for downloading the digital version of Sword or Shield from the Nintendo eShop. For a limited time, anyone who downloads one of these games will receive a code for 12 Quick Balls.

The Quick Ball is a type of Poké Ball that is most effective when used early in the battle. As a result, they are very effective for catching Pokémon quickly. Players who download Pokémon Sword and Shield will have an easy time catching creatures early in the game thanks to this special offer.
