Earlier this year, Japanese developer Compile Heart revealed that a port of their pervy 2017 PlayStation Vita shoot ’em up title Gun Gun Pixies would release on the Nintendo Switch. Back then, the PlayStation Vita game was exclusive to Japan, never receiving a localization for western audiences…and probably for good reason. But, that’s all changing with this year’s future release, as Gun Gun Pixies heads to the Nintendo Switch with a full English translation.
While a release date for Gun Gun Pixies hasn’t been confirmed yet, the company has released a trailer showing off the game’s English localization and explaining the title’s wild story line. And from the sounds of the trailer’s narrator, even they’re surprised that this is getting a western release.
Here’s more about the game, via publisher PQube’s official website:
The crazy Japanese third-person shooter and 3D platformer in one sends two tiny girls from outer space to earth, so that they can infiltrate a women’s college dormitory. Once arrived, the Pixies stealthily bustle about the regular sized girls’ towering legs and rooms to fulfill their mission: study human behavior in order to help overcome the social issues of their beloved home planet!
Basically, you’re shooting completely unaware college girls in their dorm rooms with pheromone-like bullets to trigger a euphoric reaction. It’s Mr. Mosquito, but much more pervy-cute, I suppose. The game mashes third-person shooter action with platforming and
shoot ’em up cute ’em up elements, firing off your guns in a bullet-hell scenario.
Gun Gun Pixies is a super strange game headed straight to the Nintendo Switch and PC later this year. Check out the game’s Day One Edition down below, and pre-order it over at PQUbe’s website.
