Next week, Weekly Famitsu will release a huge feature on Splatoon 2 for the game’s second anniversary (July 21, 2017). The Weekly Famitsu issue will span 78 pages of coverage one day before the Final Splatfest event will take place. The coverage includes developer interviews, new illustrations by multiple renowned manga artists, and a special “Off The Hook” cover. Those looking to purchase this commemorative issue can import the magazine via Play-Asia. Scans and fan translations of the publication are sure to follow.
With this upcoming Final Splatfest, Nintendo is asking players: “Which world would you choose? Chaos or Order?” So, Marina and Pearl? Players will vote for either Chaos or Order, and then battle against their opposing side. Whoever’s team gets the most votes and wins will win this Splatfest. They’ll also be a concert in the game’s lobby, as well as a new Shifty Station stage. All previous Shift Station iterations will also be available during the event. Splatoon 2’s Final Splatfest event will being on July 18 at 5:00 AM PT and will run until July 21 –– in total, 72 hours. This event marks Nintendo ending its two-year content support for Splatoon 2, although its online service will remain.
