Resident Evil 5 Resident Evil 6

The official Resident Evil Twitter account has announced the release date for the next hotly anticipated Resident Evil Switch port, as well as Resident Evil 6. You will be able to play Resident Evil 5 and 6 on-the-go on October 29 of this year. While I cannot imagine too many people were sitting around dying for Resident Evil 6 to crawl over, Resident Evil 5 is reasonably popular to a point that some people should be excited by this news.

Unfortunately, the link at the bottom of the tweet was broken at the time this article was written. Symbolic? Maybe so.

Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be next in a line of several Resident Evil games already on Switch. Both Revelations titles, the remakes of the original and Zero, and a port of Resident Evil 4 can be played right now. A sizable library has built up, but for such a long-running series, there are lots of other games that could still use a port, most notably, of course, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

October feels like a long ways away, so if you need some help choosing a title for a portable Resident Evil fix in the meantime, check out our reviews of the Resident Evil Revelations Collection, Resident Evil 0, Resident Eviland Resident Evil 4 on Switch.
