Every week we’ll compare two (or more) Nintendo games and pit them against each other in a showdown. Your votes decide the winner, so choose wisely. For this week’s Showdown we have two classic action-adventure games from 2006. On top of that, they also both feature a legendary wolf as the hero. It’s The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess vs. Okami! Which game is better? Help us decide by casting your vote below!

Nintendo Showdown: Twilight Princess vs. Okami

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

After sailing around on the Great Sea in Wind Waker, Nintendo returned to Hyrule for their next Zelda adventure. Twilight Princess was a darker, edgier, and bigger Zelda experience than ever before. It featured an intriguing story with memorable characters like Midna and Zant, and it ended with intense sword fight against Ganondorf himself. Twilight Princess would go on to become one of the most successful games in the franchise with nearly 10 million copies sold across GameCube, Wii, and Wii U.

Okami

That very same year, PlayStation fans were also treated to an incredible wolf adventure. Okami was heavily inspired by Zelda, and it shows. However, it achieves its own unique feeling. The game world is brought to life with a beautiful art style that pays homage to Japanese ink paintings. This factors into the plot and gameplay, as you must travel the world to unlock new paint brush techniques. The visuals, music, and and smooth gameplay all combine for an entrancing experience.

Which one of these Zelda-style wolf adventures is the better game? Help us decide by casting your vote! Then feel free to leave your thoughts about these games in the comments below.
