Hookshot

The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a little more than a month away. While it was teased back in 2016 with no one noticing, it certainly became heavily anticipated after its Nintendo Direct reveal. I’m a fan of the direction the revamp is taking and can hardly wait for its launch. Therefore, any glimpses of gameplay are like comfort food to me. It comes as no surprise, then, recent footage of Link utilizing the game’s Hookshot and Roc’s Feather gave me goosebumps.

The Hookshot goes CLANNGG!

First, let’s take a look at a brief clip of the Hookshot in action, courtesy of the @ZeldaOfficialJP Twitter:

Damn, the redone soundtrack sounds AMAZING. Also, I love how Link’s feet go back when he crosses the river. The attention to detail in this re-imagining is already stunning.

Next, a short shot of jumping Link, thanks to the Roc’s Feather power-up:

Gorgeous. It’s amazing how these two clips have a 20 second total run time combined, yet they make the wait for Link’s Awakening‘s Switch arrival much more unbearable. In other words, I hate time.

Lovers of all things Zelda, are you a fan of Link’s Awakening‘s redesign in motion? Counting the days until its release on September 20, 2019? Let us know how you are coping down below.
