PAX West: Dotemu brings goods with Streets of Rage 4, Windjammers 2

Lizardcube, one of the developers behind Streets of Rage 4, has tweeted that more details on the game will be revealed next week. The tweet embedded below is short and sweet, but it is enough to get fans of the classic side-scrolling series excited to for its impending return and hopeful that it will be represented on all consoles, especially including Switch.

For those out of the loop, Streets of Rage 4 was announced last August as a collaboration between Lizardvube, Guard Crush Games, and Dotemu. News has been mostly dry since then, save for a trailer in March and an impressive showing at PAX East 2019.

While Streets of Rage 4 is not yet confirmed for Switch, it would be a fairly shocking omission if it missed the platform. Now almost a year out from its announcement, a release is hopefully right around the corner. Fans of the series cannot wait to get back to the streets with high-octane combos, blistering specials, nasty suplexes, and so much more. March’s gameplay trailer is posted below so that you can jog your memory and get pumped for next week’s detail drop.

Are you excited for Streets of Rage 4? Do you think it will land on Switch? Can you think of any reason why it would not? Let us know in the comments.
